THE FLOATING HOME

I wanted to create a fantasy home for a mage but didn't want to just want to put it anywhere I wanted somewhere isolates from the public so I decided to situate it on water. I originally wanted to do it in a Volcano but I changed my mind, maybe I'll paint a home in the Volcano in the near future.

I started sketching on paper with 2 vanishing points and then created the line work, and fill the page with a base color. I've then started create a small thumbnail (which I should have done before implementing the base color) to plant where the lighting is coming from and the shadow should be. Once I got the thumbnail up, I've then focused on the details.
